TostoApps ("we", "us", "our") built the QR Scanner app as a free app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service. By using QR Scanner, you agree to this policy.
📦Information We Collect
QR Scanner is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- Scan and generation history — stored locally on your device only. We never upload it to any server.
- Usage data and crash reports — collected anonymously through Apple's standard system frameworks to improve app stability.
- Advertising identifiers — used by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads. See the Advertising section below.

The app may request the following device permissions:
- Camera — required to scan QR codes in real time.
- Photo Library — to save generated QR code images or to scan codes from existing photos.
- Contacts — only when you explicitly choose to generate a Contact (vCard) QR code.
- Location — only when you explicitly choose to generate a Location QR code. Never tracked in the background.
You can revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy.
📢Advertising (Google AdMob)
QR Scanner uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data including your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your consent.
When you first launch the app, you will be shown an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt in accordance with Apple's requirements. You can change your tracking preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

The app may open URLs from scanned QR codes in your browser. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external websites.
👶Children's Privacy
QR Scanner does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.
